Rettet unsere Marienkäfer<o:p></o:p>

Der Harlekin-Käfer (ursprünglich aus Asien) sieht aus wie ein niedlicher Marienkäfer, aber er ist ein Kannibale und frisst auch die Larven unserer heimischen Marienkäfer.<o:p></o:p>

Auf der Suche nach einem Winterquartier schwärmt er durch ganz Deutschland und bevölkert sonnige Hauswände oder er dringt durch Fensterritzen in Häuser ein. <o:p></o:p>

In den 90er Jahren wurden sie eingeführt um in Gewächshäusern Blattläuse zu fressen, doch inzwischen sind sie längst ausgebüchst und haben sich verselbständigt.<o:p></o:p>

Den Harlekinkäfer erkennt man an Farben und Musterungen. Er ist größer als unser heimischer Marienkäfer und hat keine oder bis zu 19 schwarze Punkte.<o:p></o:p>
